Yesterday my college age daughter and I enjoyed the lovely Victorian holiday decorations at the Plant Museum. The gingersnap cookies and hot cider were delicious.
We also looked at the college side of the old hotel's classroom area. When we were climbing the main stairs to the third floor, I happened to look through the railings towards my right.
I was startled to see a grimace kind of face with its mouth open crouched down near a brown garbage pail. It then sort of smiled and I looked at my daughter who was ahead of me on the stairs. She had been talking and was looking down toward the stairs that we were climbing. I stepped back down a step to look again but there was nothing there but the tall garbage bin and a wall clock further back.
When we reached the third floor landing, I looked around but there was no one else there. My arm hairs were standing up. My daughter says i had an optical illusion. She didn't see anything unusual.

We both agree that the curved hallway on the second floor with all the windows is weird and looks like it is crooked or slanted from age. we enjoyed the unique architecture of the building and it is worth a visit whether there is anything paranormal or not.

I am a student presently attending The University of Tampa and just so happen to be living in McKay hall. I appreciate you posting this, I have at many times walked down Plant Hall late at night especially the hallway that connects the main building to the dance hall. Many times I have had a creepy feeling come over me while walking down there, at one point it scared me so much that I wanted to run. Something to remember is that sounds echo loudly throughout that building which helped in its general creepyness. Another thing is that I am pretty sure that most of the window panes down that hallway are origional which mean that they are very wavy looking, this also adds to the creepyness, I can see someone seeing a face in the window panes, I half expect to see one myself. I have to say that the second floor seems to have the most energy in it. You dont want to be up there alone especially the path that links to the science department, it is very confined in there. As for McKay, I have never felt as if I were in danger or scared while there. It is a very open community with everyone knowing everyone in the building. I have never seen any apparitions in the windows and rarely is there no one outside. I have also never experienced any cold spots, but my popcorn does seem to be missing, that may be my own fault though~. I am very excited to be attending this school, creepyness aside, it is a great place to attend, if it does have some paranormal activity I think it only adds to its incredible character!
