Haunted World

The Oliver House is a bed and breakfast that has been the site of several murders.  It was originally built by Edith Oliver, who built the house for executives of a few mining companies.  There is certainly a dark presence felt within the walls of the Oliver House due to all the evil acts that have taken place here.  Twenty-seven people have died here at different points in time.  One time a husband found his wife cheating with another man who had lived there.  Being in such a rage, the husband murdered his wife and the guy she was cheating with.  This put him into a spiraling frenzy.  He left the bodies and went into the day room where he killed everyone he found.  After finishing the murders he  drove out to the town limits where he ended his own life.

Another murder took place at a different time, but the murderer got away without ever being caught.  Not much is known about this murder.  Visitors to the Oliver House have said they felt a sense of nostalgia in the place.  Guests have said they hear doors opening and slamming shut, and then the sounds of loud footsteps, as though someone were walking out into the hall.  There have also been reports of guests hearing firecrackers out in the hallway, but in the morning finding that they were the only ones who had heard anything.  There have been several guests who have reported the same incident occurring where they were the only ones to hear anything.

In the grandma room, an older woman passed away due to natural causes.  She’s been known to make the rocker move.  She is also seen sometimes at night sitting on the rocking chair or otherwise dusting the room.  In the purple sage room, guests have said the doors and shutters would suddenly open and close with no one touching them or near them.  Those staying in the Plum room have said they felt as though they were being watched during the night, and noticed cold spots in the room.  There is definitely a lot of paranormal activity occurring within the walls of the Oliver House.
