The Bass Cemetery
Located in Jefferson County, Alabama the Bass Cemetery is believed to be 150-200 years old. It’s located on Ruffner Road which is also called County Road 147, and right by US Highway 11. The Bass Cemetery has seen better days, but due to excessive vandalism many tombstones have been lost to the ages. The vandals of Bass Cemetery have shown absolutely no respect by destroying tombstones, and even carrying away some of the stones. This may indeed be one of the reasons Bass Cemetery is believed to be haunted.
By dating back into the early 1800’s, Bass Cemetery is full of history and dark times. There have been many unusual occurrences that have been reported over the years. Some visitors to Bass Cemetery have reported seeing strange shadows and even screams. There are also reports of occult rituals being performed within the cemetery which has caused many to believe that the cemetery has an evil presence. Many also believe that the cemetery is haunted by the soldiers and slaves who died during the civil war era.
There have been orb pictures captured within Bass Cemetery and there have been reports of a black mist being spotted in the graveyard. Due to the reports of occult worship and odd events this is definitely not a haunted place to go exploring by yourself. Bass Cemetery receives even more spookiness by being located out in the middle of the woods with nothing very close by. Chilling indeed.
