Haunted World

Marion Military Institute has had many reports of paranormal activity.  The Institute was originally built back in the early 1800’s.  Around the time of the civil war the Institute began taking in soldiers to care for the wounded.  The chapel on campus was even turned into a hospice for the battle-wounded soldiers.  Many of the soldiers died within the Institute and were buried right outside of the chapel.  

It’s believed those who died during this time still haunt the halls of Marion Military Institute.  Those attending Marion have experienced there objects in the room moving on their own.  There are also strange, unexplained noises that can be heard coming from the hallways and different rooms.  All sorts of paranormal activity have been reported from Marion.  Some believe the ghosts have actually possessed some of the cadets because of strange mood changes that sometimes happen to the cadets.  Those who have been alone in rooms often will feel a strong sense of someone else being present with them.
